Half-Day and Open-House

Monday, October 3, 2011

Dear Parents / Guardians:

There will be a Half-Day for all students on Monday, October 3, 2011. Dismissal will be at 11:30 a.m. Bus service will be provided, please check with your child’s bus driver about the estimated PM drop-off time.

2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.             Parent Meeting in the Student Cafeteria to:

·         Meet the Principal and Vice Principals

·         Discuss transportation concerns

·         Introduction to Title 1 Services

·         Special Education Services

·         Middle School Information for Fifth Grade Parents

4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.             Meeting with Classroom Teachers to discuss:

·         School Safety Rules and Discipline Code

·         Academic Expectations

·         Uniform Policy

·         Homework Policy

·         Attendance / Punctuality requirements

·         Parent Involvement

There will be a GCA T-Shirt Sale of our newly design gym and trip uniform shirt. The cost of the T-Shirts will be $10. We will also be hosting a Cake Sale Fundraiser in the front lobby of the school. Parents are more than welcome to donate cookies, cupcakes or cakes to support our school.
